Karaoke

Have a legendary karaoke night with Okee Dokee

Because I was a karaoke singer, I see hosting a show from a singer’s point of view. I understand how frustrating a poor rotation of the singers can be. I understand that it’s not how good the singer is, it’s about having fun and enjoying yourself.  It’s about encouraging other singers who might be shy.  It’s about having the songs and the right versions of the song you want to sing. It’s about having a host who doesn’t join in and drown you out, but also knows when you would like help. This discipline has been taught to all of my DJs.

Over 250,000 karaoke tracks to choose from!

If there are no singers available we will play a range of disco songs, so there are no awkward silences. With over 250,000 karaoke tracks I’m sure there is something you can sing. As a host we know how to set each song differently for each singer.  Okee Dokee DJs know how to alter volume levels as some singers are quieter than others, how to alter reverb and other effects or the lack of them for each song as every song is different. We have key changing facility so we can make songs fit better for your vocal range. We use quality wireless and corded microphones and we have speakers that are not just disco bass boom boxes, but ones that reproduce vocals faithfully. All this means that our Karaoke shows are amongst the best in the UK.  You might think that Sinatra’s “New York, New York,” would be the most requested karaoke track (it is in the UK top 25), but as modern culture, fashion and music changes, so do karaoke requests, as you can see from Okee Dokee’s number 1 most requested karaoke song for 2014!
